1/4" Anti-Vacuum Valve
Also called an air vent or anti-vacuum valve — it lets air escape the boiler as the water heats, hissing briefly and then sealing shut once the boiler reaches operating pressure. This is a complete unit only; no internal parts are sold separately for it.

INSTALLATION
A boiler-related component best installed by an experienced coffee technician.
PRO TIPS
- A brief hiss during warm-up is completely normal — it's this valve doing its job. If the hissing doesn't stop once the machine reaches operating pressure, or the boiler struggles to build pressure at all, that's the sign this valve has failed and needs replacing.
- Since no internal parts are sold for this valve, don't try to source a rebuild kit for it — when it fails, replace the complete unit.
