Nuova Simonelli 3/8" Certified Safety Valve Kit
A newer-design retrofit kit for Nuova Simonelli equipment, suitable for most commercial models new and old. This kit includes the certified safety valve and fittings needed to plumb it in, but does not include the anti-vacuum valve. Not suitable for the Premier Maxi, which was revised to use a smaller 1/4" safety valve.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Safety valve: 3/8" Male BSP, certified, 1.8 bar, -20°C/+200°C rating
- Includes: Plastic valve cover, brass cover washer, nickel-plated 3/8" F x 1/4" F BSP reducer, two nickel-plated BSP tee fittings, one nickel-plated 90° fitting, and a brass 3/8" fixing nut
COMPATIBILITY
- Fits: Most commercial Nuova Simonelli machines, new and old — NOT the Premier Maxi, which uses the smaller 1/4" safety valve instead
- Works with: Sold separately are the anti-vacuum valve and adaptor fitting, neither of which is included; the valve is also available on its own as part number S_348
INSTALLATION
A moderate DIY plumbing job for anyone comfortable working with BSP fittings and two wrenches.
PRO TIPS
- PTFE tape is fine to use, but simply tightening the fittings firmly with two wrenches is usually enough — heat from the steam will expand the fittings and seal any minor leaks over time.
