CMA Sight Glass Rebuild Kit – Astoria, Bravo, Formula, Rio & Wega

A complete rebuild kit for the boiler sight glass assembly, including two of the glass crystals since it's genuinely common to crack one on the first attempt. Includes 2x AS.26 rubber gaskets, 2x AS.27 glass crystals, 2x W.98 brass washers, 1x C.129 copper washer, and 1x F.290 plastic check ball.

INSTALLATION

DIY, but go easy on the tightening - see pro tips.

PRO TIPS

  • We include two crystals in this kit on purpose - it's the part techs crack most often on the first try. Nip it snug by hand, don't wrench it down; over-torquing the retaining nut is exactly what shatters the crystal, not normal boiler pressure.
  • The F.290 plastic ball is a check-ball for the sight glass float - drop it in before installing the second crystal, or you'll be taking the whole assembly back apart to add it.
