Astoria/CMA Steam & Water Valve Seat Seal

Small EPDM seat seal used in Astoria and Wega steam and water valves. It's a simple part, but it does its job under constant heat cycling until it hardens and starts to weep.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Dimensions: 15 x 4 x 4 mm
  • Material: EPDM rubber, 80 Shore hardness

COMPATIBILITY

  • Fits: Astoria and Wega steam/water valves
  • Works with: valve seat/gasket holder assembly, held in place with a small fixing nut

INSTALLATION

DIY-friendly, but be prepared to destroy the old one getting it out.

PRO TIPS

  • By the time these are worn enough to leak, they're usually brittle and will crumble rather than pull free — plan on prying and chipping the old seal out of its holder with a small pick rather than expecting it to come out in one piece. The new seal has no directional orientation, so it drops in either way.
