Flojet Water Pressure Regulator to John Guest Kit
Kit for connecting a Flojet 1750 series water pressure regulator to 3/8" John Guest push-in tubing. Needed if your incoming water pressure exceeds 30 PSI, such as when feeding a Barista Basics Commercial Rinser.
The Flojet 1750 series regulator reduces inlet water pressure to safe levels for pumps and appliances, with a removable, cleanable inlet screen to protect against debris. It's intended for temporary use on espresso machines only — a permanent installation calls for more robust pumping equipment.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Fittings: plastic, 1/2" NPT only (metal fittings will damage the regulator housing and void the warranty)
- Barbed connections: 1/4"

INSTALLATION
Simple DIY installation: confirm the inlet screen is present, wrap threads with 1-2 wraps of PTFE tape, hand-tighten plus a quarter turn, and mount with the flow arrow pointing the correct direction. Use braided high-pressure tubing on both ends secured with stainless clamps — never plumb directly into rigid pipe.
PRO TIPS
- Use plastic 1/2" NPT fittings only — metal fittings can crack the regulator housing and will void the warranty.
- Clean the inlet screen several times a year (more often in hard water areas) to keep outlet pressure stable and prevent clogging.
- Mount the regulator somewhere visible and accessible so you'll actually remember to check and clean it.
