INSTALLATION

PRO TIPS
- For the silicone gasket: use a food-safe silicone lubricant, never a petroleum-based grease, which degrades silicone. Don't pry the gasket in with a sharp screwdriver — it will tear; instead seat it with the basket removed from the portafilter. And don't crank the portafilter in hard the way you would with a traditional EPDM gasket — silicone seals with much less clamping force.
- For the screen: snug the screw down just enough to hold it in place, then run water through and watch the flow pattern before fully tightening. Over-tightening warps the screen over months of use, which leads to channeling — it won't show up as a problem on day one, so this step is easy to skip and regret later.
