La San Marco Retention Valve (Non-Return Valve)
Also called a non-return valve, this spring-loaded check valve is designed to hold closed until pressure reaches roughly 12+ bar, then expand and open — keeping water from backing up through the line when the pump isn't running.

PRO TIPS
- If you're seeing water weep through this valve below 12 bar and adjusting the valve's screw doesn't bring it back into spec, that's your sign the valve is worn out internally — stop chasing the adjustment and replace it.
