La Marzocco 130°C Single-Pole Manual Reset Thermostat (UL)
This bi-metal manual-reset thermostat is what La Marzocco uses on their steam boilers and group heads to protect against overheating — when it trips at 130°C, you push the reset button rather than replacing a fuse. Both the older red-button version and the newer brown-button version do the exact same job; neither is an upgrade over the other, so buy whichever is in stock.
COMPATIBILITY
- Fits: La Marzocco steam boilers and group heads
- Replaces: La Marzocco part #L276 or L276.01 (red-button and brown-button versions are functionally identical)
- Works with: an optional mounting bracket — these no longer ship with one, so save your old bracket or order a replacement
INSTALLATION
A qualified technician job — requires accessing the boiler and working around live electrical connections.
PRO TIPS
- Always smear a small amount of thermal paste on the thermostat's sensing head before bolting or clamping it down — it fills microscopic gaps between the switch and the boiler surface so the thermostat reads actual boiler temperature instead of lagging behind it, which matters most on pipe-mount installations. This synthetic grease won't dry out or harden over time, but it's a heat-transfer aid only — never use it as an adhesive.
