Nuova Simonelli 'Oscar' Water Reservoir Retention Valve

Self-activating CO14 retention valve for the Oscar and Jazz water reservoirs. Factory-installed by heat-staking into place, so replacement takes more care than a typical snap-in part.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Type: CO14, self-activating
  • Larger than the CO10 valve (S_459)

COMPATIBILITY

  • Fits: Nuova Simonelli Oscar, Jazz
  • Note: do not substitute the smaller CO10 valve (S_459)

INSTALLATION

Doable DIY, but requires patience — these are melted into place at the factory, so removing the old valve without damaging the reservoir takes a careful, methodical approach.

PRO TIPS

  • Because these are heat-staked into the reservoir at the factory, plan on carefully working the old valve free rather than prying — cracking the plastic reservoir is the main risk, and reservoirs are a much more expensive replacement than the valve itself.
