Precision Ridgeless Double Portafilter Basket - 18/20gr

 A shorter version, at 26 mm height.

70 mm outside diameter at the rim, 60 mm body, for 58 mm diameter tampers. A thicker, 1.2 mm portafilter is recommended for a tighter fit. Ridgeless, with a flat bottom. The shape was created by I.M.S. to obtain the proper ratio between the base and height of the coffee puck in relation to capacity. The cylindrical flat bottom shape has been designed to exploit the whole coffee puck, which also facilitates drying and expulsion. I.M.S. perforation is exclusive and patented. This basket has a perforated area of 49 mm, optimized in relation to the shape of the filter, and every one comes with exactly 715 holes. The number and distribution of the perforated holes are designed to balance the delivery in relation to the height and shape of the filter and perforated area. Each hole has a diameter of 0.30 mm and are circular with a conical cross section. After being relaminated and recalibrated, each basket is finished with a wet vibrofinishing by ceramic inserts and then dried with corncob. They are then refinished again with electropolishing to obtain a smooth surface resulting in a product with unmatched sanitary and non-contaminating qualities.
