Rancilio 165°C Resettable Safety Thermostat
A 165°C (329°F) high-limit resettable thermostat that cuts power to the heating element if the boiler over-heats. The M4 stud threads into the front of the boiler and is rated for roughly 1,000 expected electrical cycles.

INSTALLATION
Technician-level — this is a safety-critical electrical component threaded directly into the boiler.
PRO TIPS
- Extreme care should be taken on installation — the stud can snap off inside the boiler if over-tightened, and it doesn't need to thread in flush; slightly past hand-tight is sufficient.
- Apply thermal paste to the sensing head before clamping it down so it accurately reads boiler temperature instead of lagging — especially important on pipe-mount installations. The grease should never be used as an adhesive.
