Rancilio PTFE Sight Glass Tube
Boiler sight glass tube made from PTFE, so it will not break or melt like a traditional glass tube. For Rancilio Classe and Epoca models only, and also found on Promac and Laranzato Green and Compact models.

INSTALLATION
Moderate difficulty — involves the boiler's gland nuts/compression fittings; comfortable DIYers can manage it, or have a technician install it.
PRO TIPS
- Cloudy or discolored sight glass is usually mineral scale, not a sign the tube needs replacing — regular descaling keeps the water level visible and extends the life of the tube.
- If you need to trim the tube to length, cut it cleanly and deburr both ends; a ragged cut can prevent a proper seal at the gland nuts and cause a slow drip.
