Hand-machined portafilter handle turned from sustainable, FSC-certified walnut on a wood lathe and finished with a food-grade mineral oil/beeswax conditioner. Portafilter body sold separately.

COMPATIBILITY

• Fits: the large majority of manufacturers using a 12mm threaded bolt — excludes La Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, Rancilio and La San Marco, which use a 10mm bolt instead

INSTALLATION

Removing the old handle usually requires a bench vice, since many handles are threaded and can be seized with thread-lock; some are also secured with a nut and washer rather than a simple thread.

PRO TIPS

• Measure your existing handle's threaded bolt diameter before ordering — if your machine is a La Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, Rancilio or La San Marco, you need the 10mm version of this handle instead, not this one.
• If the old handle won't unthread by hand, check for thread-lock on the bolt before forcing it; a bench vice and steady heat (not excessive force) is the safer way to break it loose without damaging the portafilter body.
